Description : I was leaving for college and needed to sell my mare. I was in contact with a lady I’d known for years through the show circuit. She said her boarding barn was interested in buying her for a lesson horse. I was leaving for school in two days when the lady called to say they didn’t want her because they needed a younger horse. I was stuck, so I agreed to give her to this lady. She said she would take her and care for her, but we agreed that I would get Missy back if it didn’t work out. I found out the lady was looking to get rid of some horses in Dec. 2009. I contacted her and told her I would come get Missy at Christmas break, but she told me Missy wasn’t one of those horses. The next August, I found out through a mutual friend that she did get rid of Missy. The lady will not tell us what she did with Missy.
