how found details: Sunday 10-5-09 approx 7pm: horse reported running loose on Route 47 near Big Timber, south of I-90, by witness to unrelated traffic accident. Pingree Grove PD responded to scene, tried to corner or block the horse but he was quick. PD chased him for approximately 2 hours until he was able to be roped. PD is familiar with the area then went door-to-door, and inquired of current caregiver if he was one of her horses, which he was not. She offered to house him until the owner is found. He has been vetted, and cleared to be turned out with her herd. He is a very sweet boy, interacts well with the other horses and caregiver's children.
