JUDY STOLEN FROM ALABAMA WAGON TRAIN

"WOW!!! is the only word I can use to describe the trip! We went on the Alabama Wagon Trail and had a wonderful time up until midnight Saturday night.
About 9:00 Sat night a man come to us and said he was missing his black and white paint racking mare(16hands 1200lb). I told him we would keep a watch out for him and if I found her I'd let him know. (probably just come untied right??????wrong!!!!!)
At 12:00 midnight I hayed and watered my horses and went inside to sleep. . Not two minutes later my gelding starts acting a fool.
I told my wife (Kasey) something's not right. He's been rode 60 miles in three days.
She says, "Shane their OK."
I said I'm going to check on Judy(16hands 1200lb racking mare). I check and
she's gone! Well, first I think she's just got loose or she's in heat and looking for a stud. (right???? wrong!!!).
I wake my friends and they wake theirs. We end up with about 30 people with flashlights at midnight looking for this horse. I finally decide at about 12:30 to awake the
trail boss.
Me and the other gentlemen whose mare is missing to, hop in the truck with the trail boss and start riding the roads. We rode around for a hour and had given up, its pitch dark we cant see, we'll wait till in the morning and look again. I had already decided
she's gone forever.
I was ready to get in touch with Cheryl Taylor to get her to start posting pictures on the web. And then 100 yards from camp low and behold out of the corner of my eye I see something
white 50 feet down and old logging road.
I yelled, " backup backup!"
 There they stood! My mare and the other tied to a pine tree!
Whew!! Lucky!! Lucky!! Lucky!!
I have now calmed and thought how thankful I am and the thief's
they didn't get caught. Because you would probably be reading about them in the obituaries and me
standing trial for murder!
I feel for those whose get stolen and the ending is not like this
one.
