description: Two Price McLaughlin western saddles, two Tex-Tan Western saddles, one Windsor Castle saddleseat saddle, and a Circle Y equitation saddle. One of the Price McLaughlin saddles was a trophy saddle and says Sarah Mikesell on it. The other Price McLaughlin saddle was given to the owner by her father in the 60's. It was then stolen when she was in college and her father put an ad in the paper and it was returned back then and now stolen again. The dark oil circle y saddle was a Christmas present exactly 20 years ago. It has Merry Christmas 1985 and Roya Maze engraved on the silver saddle plate. It has silver in places that many saddles do not have today, such as on the pommel and stirrups. It had floral tooling with a dark brown suede seat.
how stolen: Two people with approx. size 10 shoes walked into the barn. They drilled two holes into an unlocked and empty tack room. They started to drill a hole in the tack room with the saddles, but must have decided to try the door since it was unlocked. They used a cart (sulky) to carry the saddles down the back drive where they must have had their vehicle. They also brought the cart back. They also stole saddles from another barn the same night but used their manure cart and took the cart with them. They took seven saddles from our barn and 9 from the other barn.
