Star, Stolen from Pasture Corryton, TN (Knoxville area) RECOVERED!
To Everyone who came to our rescue!!!
A Million times, THANK YOU!!!!
Crystal and I just wanted to write to you and every one who came to our aide when Star was taken from us. We had never experienced the devastation of horse theft before, and I pray we never have to again. It is our prayer that no one would ever have to go through this terrible loss of their animal.
But you all could never know how much even the e-mails meant to us, they offered us hope when we thought there was none.
Star was gone! what could we do? I ask this question over and over, Then Debi and Stolen Horse International came the our rescue! Making flyers and instructing us as what we could do. We began receiving e-mails from all over the U.S. telling us not to give up hope and prayers from so many who did not even know our names 24 hours before.
We went to the horse sales and went from trailer to trailer, looking at each horse, hoping each one would be ours, sometimes people would say, "what you all looking for?" We just handed them a flyer and kept on looking...Most didn't have much to say after they saw the flyer....
Those wonderful flyers, brought Star home 5 days after she was taken from her pasture at 4:00am. A doctor stopped by a quick-mart to get some bubble gum from the machine and saw her picture on the bulletin borad..the next morning his wife called stating our mare was found on a hillside and they did not know how she got there....
It is believed Star bolted when the thieves tried to load her in the trailer, She is very difficult to load. Skinned her nose and ran away. Also the neighbors were awakened
by the commotion turning on thier lights and probably had a part in scaring the thieves off.
Star was visible "Spooked" from her experience and only a skinned nose. We were very fortunate, many are not as lucky.....To these we want to offer our heartfelt prayers and any effort we might be able to do, to help in any way.
There is a horse sale twice a month in Knoxville, TN. only 7 miles from were we live.
Let us know if any one needs us to cover it. E-mail us at:

All we really know is the Prayers went up.......
The flyers went out..........
and the Doctor doesn't know exactly why he wanted bubble gum!
Love to all....Crystal and Madge
A MILLION TIMES "THANK YOU".
