UPDATE! ... July 14, 2006
... one thief made a plea bargain and will testify against the other. She is ordered to pay restitution and will be on probation. A witness said someone else picked up my horse from the last man who had him (the thief did not take him to a sale like he stated to the sheriff). He will go to trial in Sept. ~ Veronica (NetPosse 7/18/2006)
UPDATE! ... Oct. 12, 2005
Hi Debi,
I just wanted to update you on my search for Curly. Yesterday the two people responsible for stealing him were indited by the Grand Jury. I still do not know Curly's whereabouts or fate but feel this action will get these theives talking. They will face a sentence of up to 5 years in prison if convicted. Thank you again for your group. The emails I get from your members have helped me through the worst times.
Sincerely,
Veronica Karkuschke
The picture of Curly and the flyer have been updated so show a fuller tail. The original image was taken just after Curly had been bathed so his tail was wet and stuck together, making it appear more of an app "rat tail". ~ (NetPosse 5/1/06)

Dear Debi,
Thank you so much. The police are treating it as a theft. The case number is 0512452. No arrest of yet but one man is supposed to be going in for questioning tomorrow morning. I'm heartsick. So much pressure has been put on these awful people I fear something really awful has happened to my horse.
