theft date: April 18, 2006
location: Wellington, Florida RECOVERED
how missing: Leila was stolen from her stall at a barn on Equestrian Way in Wellington, FL, taken off the premises of the stable and they tried to load her in a van. Leila would not go and kicked one of the thieves. The thieves also broke into my tack trunk, the one that usually has her papers in it. After Leila kicked the thief and hurt him she was returned to her stall. At the same time a light was turned on in the barn by the observer. The police said she was technically stolen. I want to catch the people who did this and am offering a 5,000.00 reward for info leading to the arrest of the thieves.
NetPosse Note: Leila was recovered, but no arrests made in the case. There is a suspect that had attempted to purchase Leila, but the owner refused to sell. Owner believes this person is vindictive enough to steal her.
