Featured Recovered Horses
 Rod
Vilencia found his stolen horse Ariel, on the internet in 2004,
11 years later. After a more than a year of trudging through the court
system, permanent custody of Ariel and two offspring was
awarded to him in October 2005. The person responsible has pled
guilty and the criminal case was finally over in May 2006. Read

2006 Lexington, SC--We found Jazzy today. She is well .....a little
thirsty and some cuts. I want to thank all of you for your help.
I cannot say enough about all the support I have had thru your
program. Please let me know if there is anything I can or need

 Lost
on a trail in Oregon, Sadie with the help of NetPosse and
friends of Kathy Bray was spotted by a hiker, found and
brought home safely June 2006.
Update: JJ and Little Man were
stolen from Pulaski, TN, January 30, 2005. The horse was
recovered in March 2005 and a suspect was arrested.. The
court ruled January 18, 2006 and the thief was given 4 years in
jail and ordered to pay restitution. Score one for the
victims! Congratulations Ball Family on this long
fought emotional, victory.
  Lets
not forget the horse whose theft is the inspiration for this
website, Stolen Horse International, and Idaho Alerts for
missing horses. Idaho, stolen 9/26/97 and recovered
9/17/98, 51 weeks later is alive and well today at age 23.
Her thief was caught and successfully prosecuted.
Boneventure revisited...He is
home!
We have a happy ending!! We recovered my horse Saturday,
December 6. He had been sold to a killer broker
"I just can't believe someone would steal him. He's a wonderful
animal. He was a Virginia State Champion; he was my Mounted
Search & Rescue horse; he was the horse I got my Parelli
certification with. I've had him since he was 3; he's a coming
24 year old. That's the part I can't understand. . . why would
someone you knew anything about horses steal a 24 year old. He
was in great shape but still . . . "

Rob has been found!!!!!
Shirley is elated! 6/2/03 Details cannot be disclosed at
this time but will be posted on his personal page when
possible. Rob
was stolen from his paddock in May 2004. He is 26 years old and
his owner Shirley has had him for 16 years. Her heart is
broken.

Boogie- 2 year old Saddle Horse stolen 5-16-04
RECOVERED

enforcement officers and of course, Sassy Mauldin, who truly
lived up to her name!

- Stolen May 16, 2004 with Boogie (above) Recovered June 17,
2004 one week after Boogie.
 OKLAHOMA -
Pokadot
- NRHA Top Ten money earner and ApHC medallion winner Stolen April
17, 2004 and Recovered from SHI flyer April 21, 2004. It has
been brought to our attention that some people have been told
that the $5000 reward for the recover of Pokadot was given to
SHI. As of this date, SHI has not received any of the
reward offered. Horses
have been recovered 5, 10 and 12 years later. |
