other notes: For those in the Charlotte area, keep your eyes peeled on your horses and for Piper. I had a report today from Elizabeth Williams, who was boarding her horse in the Waxhaw area and she says her horse was stolen January 1, 2006. I am working on the details currently and hope to have the full picture soon.
I have talked with a deputy in Union County and an official theft report has not been filed at this time. Because of this fact we are listing Piper as MISSING until a report is filed. The deputy who handled the initial call will not be in until Friday.
Piper may be wandering the woods or foul play could be involved. We are not sure which. We hate to loose so much time when a horse is definitely not where it should be and we wanted to keep you abreast of the situation, especially if you live in the area.

Piper was boarded and was in the care of another person. Even though the horse is said to have disappeared on Sunday the owner was not called about the disappearance until yesterday by the caregiver.
