Debi,
thank you for your reply. I will get the information you requested to you today or on the
tomorrow. As far as I know the horse got lose. There is a chance some one could have taken him off the picket
post, but it's very remote. I had stopped at the "game room" and it's located on hwy 297 bout 10mi's east of
Jamestown, TN. There was only the guy in the
store.
The Cumberland trail head is 100 yd's behind his store, this is a day parking
area. I went out and checked on the horse three times, the last time i tied him up
again, he was a little spook, and was looking at something next
door. there was a house and I think some one was home. The next time
I went out he and the dog was gone. I went looking down the
trail and didn't see him or the dog.
The guy at the store offer to take me back to camp and he
did. I came right back in my truck and look again, nothing.
Went back to camp and Don came to my camp and said he had the dog. I
went and got the dog.
The park service called on 10-25-04 and said a hunter had seen him in a
field. The ranger went looking for him and saw nothing. I went back to the
Big South Fork on10-29-04 and spent the weekend. None of the out-fitters had seen
him nor any of the camps had no one to see him. It had become apparent that the horse was not out running
around. As of today no word of him
