Goldie, Palomino/App Cross Missing From Texas Ranch
- RECOVERED!
Excerpt from letter received at SHI June 19,
2006 - In my busy-ness of relocating and re-organizing, I have
not taken the time to tell you that I do have my horse. The
afternoon that she went missing, I called my Dad, who called the
lady that had took her prior......well, Goldie was back on the
farm the next morning.
Open land like that, my friends and family would have seen her,
especially with 2 of them carrying a feed bucket and
whistling/calling for her and walking down the middle of the
place. It's only a 1/2 mi. wide. By all rights, they should have
seen her. There isn't any place that she could hide, because all
the brush has been cleared. That's why I believe with all my
heart that she was stolen. Why people think that they can do
that, that they can get away with it, is something I don't
understand and probably never will. But, I will always be angry
about it.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to at least put it out
there for the whole nation to see. And it helps to vent about
it, as well. And the people who have contacted me, have been
gracious. So, thank you, all.
Please keep informing people that the best way to keep their
horses safe is with a pair of their own eyes, or trustworthy
eyes, and that a key factor in getting a horse returned is
notifying the right people as fast as they can.....If Barb
hadn't went to feed the horse that day, they could have had her
moved to who knows where by then.....--L. Williams
