Email notice from friend 8/14/06: I am a member of Mountain Valley Trail Riders, located in SW PA. We had a scheduled trail ride at Mingo Creek Park, located in SW PA on Sunday. On Saturday the ride host, Tammy, was riding and marking the trails and placing hidden items for a scavenger hunt. After the ride, she tied her horse to her trailer and untacked. During this time, the neighbors set off some firecrackers and when she went to ask them to stop until she left the park, her horse broke loose and ran off. She looked until dark. On Sunday about 15 riders showed up and we split up and rode the park looking for Ben. He is just wearing a halter at the time of disappearance. I will forward a picture in another email. We have notified all area stables, veterinarians, all horsie people we can think of . Flyers will be posted starting tonight. He is about 16 hands, dark bay, with two small white spots , I think where the breast collar lies, and a "dent" in his muscle near his rear. He is a Walker cross, Has a white narrow blaze. I went to a local auction yesterday and checked to make sure he wasn't there. We need any help you can offer. Thanks.
