Do You Recognize this Horse?
Hello,
I have a horse that was purchased at Shipshewana Auction the end of January 2003. I am looking for anyone who may know this horse and may be able to give me any information on him.
He was sold by a livestock dealer out of Pennsylvania and I have always wondered why he took a horse all of the way to Shipshewana Indiana when New Holland Pennsylvania or Sugar Creek Ohio would have been so much closer. Actually they had to drive past Sugar Creek to get to Shipshewana.
When purchased he was 5 years old and still a stud. He appears to be at least part Appaloosa. He has never acted aggressive in any way but he is very wary of people especially men and a very strong flight instinct.
He has a white blaze, no white on his legs, no tattoos but he does have a mustache. When purchased he had proud flesh on the front of his right hock. We suspect that he has either been abused or never handled/trained.
I am attaching four photos of him. Two were taken right after we got him and the other two are recent. His color has changed dramatically hence three of the four photos. I also wanted to include a photo of the mustache.
Any information that I can get would be greatly appreciated.
