Searching for Bay Standardbred Mare in Maine - raced until injured - 2001
Below is the result of your feedback form. It was submitted by susan johns (ll@tidewater.net) on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 13:08:38
-------------------------------------
realname: susan johns
email: ll@tidewater.net
legal age: yes
current owner name: unknown
city: Bath
state: ME
zip: 04530
home phone: (207) 522-3865
date last seen: 2001
location: Brunswick, ME
horse name: Almahurst Helena
barn name: Helena
breed: standardbred
gender: mare
color: blood bay
dob age: approx. 10 years
weight: approx. 900
height: approx. 15 hands, maybe less
how missing: Never owned her, but almost did. Was forbidden to buy her by then-husband. Met her at a boarding barn where I was keeping mine. She was sold at auction out-of-state, in late 2001 I believe.
markings: neck freeze brand of F413. Has a lip tattoo of N7233. Has a white lightning streak on her face. It is unmistakably like a cartoon-type lightning streak.
skills: Was used in harness racing until injured, then prior owner sold her to the owners of the boarding barn, who then re-sold her. Was used a little as a lesson horse.
picture: Yes
pic format: Electronic
microchip: No
registered: Yes, United States Trotting Association
reward: No
other info: Whoever has/had her didn't bother to re-register her with the USTA, because old owner from the racing industry is still listed. Am concerned about how she made out, and would be willing to buy unless she is in a truly good, permanent situation, which is doubtful. Also, am mixed up about whether it's Almahurst Helena or Helena Almahurst that was her registered name; will look up again as I can never remember the order of the words. If you can post this as-is in the meantime, thank you.
do agree: yes
