Searching for Coy – 10 yr old Bay AQHA Gelding leased in Miami/Dade County, FL – last seen May 2005
Possibly in TAMPA, FLORIDA
Below is the result of your feedback form. It was submitted by Anthony Erdmann (aerdmannmiami@msn.com) on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 19:59:24

submitted by: Anthony Erdmann
email: aerdmannmiami@msn.com
legal age: yes
city: Cambridge
state: MA
zip: 02140
home phone: (617) 945-5865
date last seen: Late May 2005
location: I was with him in Miami Florida, but I'm pretty sure he then went to Tampa Florida
horse name: Smoking Joe Polite (I am not sure if that's how it is spelled)
barn name: Coy (Pronounced like Koi)
breed: American Quarter Horse
gender: Gelding
color: Bay
dob age: He is currently around 10 years old
weight: around 1000 lbs.
height: around 14.3 hands to 16 hands
how missing: My daughter leased him starting December 26, 2004, at Lakeside Farm in Miami Dade County. She last saw him in Late May 2005. The actual owner, a boarder who lived in Tampa and Coy's groundwork trainer (who had a bay Arabian named Flag who also boarded there) took their horses up to Tampa somewhere between a Monday and Thursday, and my daughter found out Friday and had not gotten to say goodbye, she would like to see him and perhaps we would consider purchase him if his current owner agrees.
markings: He is a bay quarter horse gelding. My daughter, who was a novice at the time, was able to guess he was a quarter horse just by looking at him (he is kind of muscular). He has a star and a small snip on his face, two hind socks, and a half coronet on one of his front legs. My wife described his facial markings as looking like smoking rising (his star) from a fire (his snip). Picture is available upon request.
skills: My daughter always rode him English and only did flatwork with him. He has shown in Halter Classes (don't know how many) as well as some classes at a schooling show (no jumping classes though). My daughter tells me that he sometimes would try and aim for a jump while she was riding him, and she is pretty sure he is sound for that, so perhaps he does some jumping too.
