Sorrel Quarter Horse mare missing from pasture – Greenville, SC – April 17, 2007
RECOVERE D
She was found about 5 miles from her house. How the
horse got there without anyone seeing her is a mystery to the owner and the
person who owns the boarding facility. It is believed that the ad on the
internet and the flyer posted in the area turned up the lead on the Misty.

how missing: misty was at a boarding farm. she was there for 3 days. on the third day the owner (contact Misty’s owner for names) moved her to the very back pasture. That was at 12 noon, around 4:00p.m. the same day. they went to feed the horses. misty didn't come to eat. they searched the property but no horse. my husband and i went the next day to search the property (54acres) our selves. we found a freshly patched fence with hoof tracks on the other side. i called the law and they sent an officer out (officer lollis w/ greenville county sheriff) he arrived and i showed him the fence and tracks. he asked the owner when she saw the horse last. she told him monday but she told me she saw her last tuesday afternoon. officer lollis then asked her about the fence, she told him that a tree fell on it last week. the funny thing is there are no trees around the fence to fall and the boards are too new to have been there since last week. it rained very hard here saturday night and the rain would have made the boards and screws change color.they were brand new. officer lollis said the same thing. if misty broke the fence and is wondering around, she is probably hurt(from the fence) and by now the wounds are starting to become infected.
