FOUND! 1/31/08 - in the process of recovery - King, Palomino Gelding Claimed Missing since Jan 29, 2008, in Winsted, CT - not seen since delivered Jan. 19.
King was transported to Connecticut to be traded for a mare. Mare was never shipped and woman in CT said owner would now have to pay board. No one has seen King since he was delivered to CT. On Jan. 29, CT woman stated King had gotten loose and no one could find him. Anyone finding this horse needs to contact State Police or Legal Owner.
King was known to be a fast barrel racer in North Carolina. Horse alledgely got loose, but possibly sold in CT as barrel racer.

how missing: Horse (Palomino QH Gelding) was picked up from my residence in Aberdeen N.C., on 1/19/08 by a shipper and was brought to "buyer" in Colebrook, CT. We were involved in an even swap and I was to receive a mare from her that was to leave the CT address on 1/26/08. The mare did not get shipped and I was told I had to pay boarding fees from 1/26/08 up until the time my gelding was picked up from the Ct. address … he was scheduled to be picked up by a transport company on 1/30/08 … On 1/29/09 I received an e-mail from "buyer" stating the horse "broke out" and was no where to be found. The local and state authorities have been notified.
