how missing: I let my horse be used for therapeutic riding. He has ringbone and we weren't able to use him for what we do, so we thought he could do that. The people that had him said he was too sore, so he came home. They offered to us that he could live in their pasture 'forever'. We then took him to show and he went to their farm with a boarder of theirs. I have been paying for his foot care since then ... I saw him through April and he was doing well and looked good. My last farrier bill was June 2006. I wanted to get him in August, and finally called the people Sept 3, 2006. They first said he was in the pasture and they'd get him. Then they called me back later and said that they sold an old broodmare (Another Golden Star or Gold Star) to a lady (email owner for name) in Maryland and they let him go because he was attached to the mare. That was supposed to be late June/early July. They never asked me if this was ok! I would have said no! They said they needed a few days to find the lady’s phone number, but we haven't got anything yet. We have heard that they took 12 horses to auction in August (2 loads of 6 horses each this sometime this summer) and we fear that he may have been one of them. We have raised this horse from birth and wanted a good life for him. He has ringbone and is toed in and needs to have bar shoes and pads to be comfortable. I thought these people were honest and kind. We were wrong! Quincy is a super sweet gelding and he is sorrel with a star, strip and snip. He also has a right hind pastern. He has a navy blue halter with tan letters with his registered name- Out Two Dominate. Please call or email if anyone has seen him!
