RECOVERED! 12/18/07 - 4 yr old AQHA Bucksking Gelding, Poncho, stolen from Graves County, Kentucky - Dec. 2, 2007

Subject: Poncho
Here is a pic of me and Poncho. I am so thankful for everyone's help. The outpouring of support was overwhelming and I am so grateful to have Poncho home. I hope others have the same good fortune that we have.
I try to live my life by "the cowboy code" and it was nice to find out that even though there are still "bandits" , others still live by the code too. Jesse Mullins, the editor of American Cowboy Magazine, wrote an article on "Why does American need the cowboy" several years ago, and I think in times like these, truer words have never been spoken. We need to request that Jesse run that article again.
I would also like to thank the Kentucky State Police for their help.
Bentley Fuller
Per Ms. Fuller on 12/18/07 - Two men contacted local authorities stating they had Poncho. They claimed they found him standing in the middle of the road. They began walking him up the road because they didn't know where he belonged.
One man left to go get the truck and trailer. The other man continued to walk Poncho FOUR MILES to the trailer, never once stopping to ask any of the horse owners or farms along the way if they knew who Poncho belonged to. They claim that once they got him back to their property, they FORGOT to contact law enforcement and report him as found.
The Fullers are working with authorities to press charges.
The GOOD NEWS is that Poncho is SAFE! He settled right in at home, and other than being muddy and dirty, he was otherwise unharmed. The Fullers truly appreciate everyone's efforts and support.
They believe that the men finally went to authorities because word of Poncho's theft was too widespread with the media and Internet coverage and posted flyers. ~ NetPosse.com 12/18/07
