Subject: [netposse] Stolen trailer FOUND!!
Wanted to let everyone on Netposse know that our trailer was found! This is the trailer stolen out of West Palm Beach, FL in Dec of 2004, almost 4 years ago!! We do not have many details but do know that police in Arlington, TX found it on a routine patrol. It was sitting in a lot with a For Sale sign and no tags. They called the trailer manufacturer traced it and found it had been stolen. The VIN number was removed from one area but not from the hidden area. The man listing it for sale says it belongs to a friend in Florida who is planning to move to TX. Our detective has the information on the man in Fl and is in the process of getting more information. The man lives in the Miami-Dade area and has had the trailer in his name since 2006. (I have no idea how!) Of course, Brandy and Honky Tonk have not been found yet, as well as all our tack and equipment, but we are hopeful it is just a matter of time. Please continue to spread the word about our girls. We really need to focus on Fl and Tx and get those flyers out. Robert and I would like to thank everyone for their continued support in our quest to bring Brandy and Honky home. Remember the power of one!!
Lauren

Hello,
Hope all is well and thanks a gain for all the help in trying to locate my girls and equipment. Just sending you more specific descriptions in addition to what I have already put out.
Both girls have slightly smaller hooves on the right fronts. Honky has a few white hairs above and to the inside of her knee on one foreleg. Has a star and small stripe with an old halter wear mark on her nose....no hair. Honky's teeth do not align perfectly, upper and lower.
Brandy has no white but has a whirl on her forehead. She is a stocky girl with very kind eyes. She has a similar scar on a foreleg like Honky with a few flecks of white hairs....above knee and toward inside of leg. Both girl's manes are shaved and tails shaved on the sides the first 4-6 inches. The tails will not grow out for over 6
months if left alone.
Both girls were shod with polo plateson all fours the day before
they were stolen, Dec. 14th. Brandy may still have a small 2 inch tag, what we mean is a normally long mane to show that the girls is still a bit inexperienced. Both girls have had caslick procedures done.
My Elite aluminum trailer has TWO individual partitions in the front and then two stock partitions
behind. The gate between the partitions is high enough off the ground so you can scoot under it. There are two 2 inch square drain holes in front of the axles inside the trailer that may have caps in place. The trailer has vacuum brakes and double jacks with a battery box under the nose. The trailer is 28' long x 71/2' wide so it has a lip to stand on on the sides. Trailer has a tapered nose with
tack room on the passenger side.
Truck is a Ford 1997, white, flatbed ALUMINUM with a slanted aluminum
box and Nelson's Trailer Sales mud flaps. Bug deflector in front and if you ever look inside the engine, one can see where rats chewed a bit behind the battery on the passenger side and I sprayed it black.
