RECOVERED! 7/23/07 - Merry - Bay Warmblood/TB Mare Stolen from Show Grounds - Troup County, GA - July 14, 2007
Merry has been found! Her owner has emailed NetPosse that she re-appeared at the show grounds this morning. We may never know if she was truly stolen or missing ... but it's hard to believe no one saw a loose horse that weekend and it took her 10 days to return to a an unfamiliar place. There are many unanswered questions, but we rejoice that Merry is safely home! ~ NetPosse 7/23/07

how missing: Merry was tied to my trailer at a horse show and was left alone for about 15 minutes. When I returned She was gone.
The facility is spread across hundred +/- acres. Barns and warm-up area for dressage and stadium jumping were all in close proximity to where our trailer was parked. The cross country course was a quarter mile down the road. As you go away from the road it gets wooded and the farm is not far from I-85 running through Hogansville.
The owners and host of this event and they appear to be very active in the USEA events with several shows a year at Flat Creek. [The owners] have been all over their property looking for Merry since then. No signs!
NOTE: Merry does not load onto a trailer very well so if they were trying to load her she may have been putting up a fuss.
