Subject: RE: Missing Horse
Leon has been found. It's my understanding that 9 days later they found him across the street!
Here's what was posted on the HG forum board:
"Leo is found, safe and sound!!
This whole time, Leo has been across the street from where he escaped from, in a nicely bedded stall, fed, watered, put on the walker daily, etc.
So this guy who had Leo this whole time owns a ranch, with roping facilities. He has friends come and go, and they bring their horses over all the time. Leo evidently went through his open gate (which was only open because he was having a party) and the guy thought it was a horse that belonged there, and had just gotten out, so he put him up. Every day for the past 9 days Leo has been groomed, put on the walker, etc. It wasn't until this evening that the guy saddled up Leo and went to go rope cows, and realized that Leo doesn't know jack about roping. He quickly realized that this wasn't a friends horse either. Then he remembered the flier on the mailbox, and called Katie. Sure enough, it is Leo!
The guy said that she could have covered his gate with fliers, and he still wouldn't have noticed."

how missing: I came home for 2 weeks from college and left him at my friends house who lives in Bergheim, I went out the next night and he was not there. You can see his hair where he went through one of the fences and his tracks lead out to the road and then disappear. He may have been stolen but we are not sure.
