Theft Date: October 5 2009

location: Hickory Plains, Prairie County

how missing: Our farm is located on Hwy 38. There were two people involved, one was sitting in our shop watching our house waiting for the all the lights to go out. The other one was parked about 1/2 mile away behind some trees. When all the lights went out and everything got quiet the first suspect contacted the second suspect and opened the gate to let him in. They proceeded to back up and hook up to our Delta stock trailer. One of them walked out to my horse barn, went into the tack room and shook an empty feed sack, that's how they caught her. They then tied her up and tried to catch my other horse that was with her but with no luck. They then pulled the trailer out and begin trying to load her up, you could tell by the way the ground was cut up they had a hard time loading her. We found two different locations where they moved the trailer and tried to load her. After they finally got her loaded up they took off. The shop where the first suspect hid had approx. $10,000 worth of tools inside, nothing was taken. Only my horse, two rope halters (one maroon and one black; both with white cotton lead ropes), and the stock trailer. Judging by the tracks we estimate that it was not a full sized truck that they used in the theft. We conclude that this occurred sometime between the hours of 1:00am and 6:00am on the morning on Monday October 5, 2009.
