FOUND 6/17/09 - Bay AQHA Mare, Hadley, Stolen from Caldwell County, TX - June 15, 2009

7/11/2009 2:00:17 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time--Found out today what happened to Hadley, she had been shot twice in the neck, police went out to see her body, and told the man that owned the property were she was staying, that 4 other horses had been shot as well, these horses are from the area of Gonzales, Tx to Lockhart, Tx. So need to alert people in those areas that pasture their horses along highways to be aware. -- Susan Thomas, Seguin, Tx

Thank you so much for your help, Debi, you have been great, sadly rec. a phone call from the sheriff’s dept. that Hadley had been found in a neighboring pasture, not sure how she got there, but the Sheriff’s dept got called out to investigate a foul order ... come to find out it was Hadley, how she ended up on the wrong side of the fence we don’t know, and not knowing how she died, maybe eating some bad weeds or something, she will not be autopsied as the owner had to move back to S.C. last week having to leave behind 4 head and doesn’t have the funds to do that. She is very upset at the fact this happened to such a wonderful horse.

I’m grateful I found your website as now I know what to do if I ever have a horse stolen or lost. You will be one of the first people I contact. The flyer you put together for Hadley was very nice. I will donate to you organization as I can afford to. Once again thank you so much for your help and support in this tragedy.
