FOUND 4/29/08 - Black Mini Mare, Gypsy, Missing PRESUMED STOLEN from Glasford, IL, on Feb. 23, 2008
We are sad to report that Gypsy was not found alive. The owners will never know if she was stolen, but suspect she was. We are very sorry for their loss. ~ NetPosse.com 4/30/08

Subject: Missing Miniature - Gypsy
Created: 04/29/2008 16:20:02
Please remove Gypsy as stolen. Our neighbor about a mile away called to say that his hunting dogs had drug up part of a black miniature horse. It
is Gypsy. We do not know where she actually died but do know now that she is dead. Why she left a herd of 30 mares (she was not in foal), jumped
two 46" fences and made her way down a treacherous ravine for at least a mile is something we will never know. It is unusual for a mini mare to
leave a herd and go off on her own except during foaling - and this mare had not been exposed to a stallion, so we know she was not in foal. it is
also hard to figure out how she got over/through the fencing without leaving any signs - and why no one else followed her. She left the
pasture for a ice & snow covered ravine about 30 feet steep - that is the only way she could have gotten out and ended up anywhere near that
neighbor's property - and the remains were drug up from his end of the ravine.
We wish to thank all who helped us look for this little mare. She is sadly missed and we mourn the way her life ended.
