MISSING EQUINE, – “Izzy” – Iowa

Creston (Union County), IA, Wednesday, December 20, 2017

Izzy has been missing since December 18, 2017 according to Liz Beatty. Ms. Beatty advised the property has been searched numerous times with no signs of Izzy anywhere.

Ms. Beatty asked Stolen Horse International for assistance in locating her horse. Ms. Beatty advised that Union County Sheriff Department has been notified of the missing horse.

Stolen Horse International, a nonprofit organization also known as NetPosse.com, is well known as the “lost and found’ place for horses on the internet for the equine industry. NetPosse.com offers horse theft and equine ID education and assist in search and recovery of stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment.

“I’m absolutely upset, and my family has put everything on hold over the past two days to help search.”, says Izzy’s owner, Liz Beatty. “I purchased her in June as my personal riding horse, but she belonged to my barn prior and, so I have known and ridden her for years. I bought her because I’ve been very unconfident the past few years in my riding abilities due to some falls. She is one of the only horses I’m completely comfortable with and riding.” Ms. Beatty went on to tell Stolen Horse International that Izzy means the world to her. She is very worried about Izzy.. The fence is intact, no hoof prints or manure found anywhere outside the fence. Ms. Beatty is concerned that someone may have taken her. All other horses are still in the pasture. Stolen Horse International is currently working on locating a drone pilot that can assist with the search for Izzy as well.

On December 20, 2017, Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the first online report on its web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Beatty and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse Alert (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups and private email contacts in an effort to rally the public to help the family.

You will find Izzy’s webpage with information and a printable flyer in her NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. Anyone interested in helping can search for report number NR005393 or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=5393

“Circulating the flyer for Izzy as well as the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as she could be anywhere by now. These flyers are one tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible,” says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International. “And remember, not everyone has internet access. Please post Izzy’s flyer in public places as well.”

Pictures, flyer, contact information, updates and other information are on the NetPosse webpage to identify this case quickly when calling in a tip. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Liz Beatty or Stolen Horse International with any information.
