YAMHILL COUNTY, Ore. — A Sheridan family says they're looking for their lost horse named Roxy, who has been missing since May 27.
Charity Morgan says her son was riding the horse when Roxy got spooked, bucking him off and running away.
Morgan says they've done two organized searches on horseback, have sent out two horses each day trying to track her, have rented a helicopter to do a fly-over and have contacted the Sheriff's Department and animal control.
"My son is heartbroken and we as a family can't rest til she is home and safe," reads a posting about Roxy. "Reports of her calling out whinnying, within the last week up Canyon Rd in Sheridan Oregon."
A flyer from Morgan says she's offering a $100 reward for information leading to the return of her horse.
Roxy is an 8-year-old, sorrel-colored, Arabian mare. She is not micro-chipped.
If you see Roxy, you're asked to call Morgan at 909-910-7255.
