CHEROKEE NATIONAL FOREST, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Susie, a 5-year-old chestnut Tennessee Walker mare, was located and returned home after she was last seen in the Citico area of Cherokee National Forest on June 3.

Katie Webb and Jonathan Guenther had been out trail riding when Susie was spooked and threw Katie off of her. Susie was previously seen in the Mount Pleasant area corner of Cooper Road with all of her tack still on.

Webb told Stolen Horse International that she was injured when she was thrown from the horse, but not badly.

A representative from Stolen Horse International said Susie did not make it far away from where she was lost in the forest.
