Lawndale (Cleveland County), NC, 28090, USA

Late at night someone came onto our property and cut the tails off of our horses. We saw a car earlier in the week and the person inside was taking pictures of our horses. We strongly feel this is the same person that did this. They were driving a dark blue or green car and the driver had white hair.

Horse was in the pasture Saturday and Sunday. Checked on the horses the next day and all horses were there except Sunny. Top wire on a fence was lower and she may have jumped the wire but we are not sure. She is just gone. This is a very rural farming community. The road outside the fence is blacktop and there are large surrounding farms. We do not know if someone has her and does not know where she goes back or if someone took her. A large search was launched in the area and there is no sign of her.

She was washed down Cypress Creek Bayou during the Historic floods. She may be drowned or she escaped into the wooded areas on the Harris CO, Montgomery, Co border. We found one of our horses there after the floods and we have had reports of horse citings, and have seen hoof prints in the area, which is not open to horses. She could be on the power line road or near 99 and 59. She may be accompanied by another missing horse. A gray or red roan Draft horse Mare named Luv.
