MISSING PRESUMED STOLEN EQUINES, – Baby, Buck, Red, Suzy – South Carolina

Central (Anderson County), SC, Saturday February 10, 2018

Four horses were reported as missing presumed stolen since Wednesday, January 31, 2018 according to Olin “Red Top” Porter. Mr. Porter advised that he last saw his horses in the pasture on January 31st around 1pm. When he returned to feed them that evening around 6pm the horses were gone. He was informed by a neighbor that they had spotted a truck/trailer at the property that afternoon.

Mr. Porter asked Stolen Horse International for assistance in locating his horses. Mr. Porter advised that Anderson County Sheriff Department has been notified of the missing horses and are actively investigating the case.

Stolen Horse International, a nonprofit organization also known as NetPosse.com, is well known as the “lost and found’ place for horses on the internet for the equine industry. NetPosse.com offers horse theft and equine ID education and assist in search and recovery of stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment.

“I miss my horses. It is upsetting that someone would come and take them.”, says the owner of the missing horses, Mr. Porter. “Three of the horses are 3-4 years of age and one is 12 years old. They are very special to me and I want them back home.” Mr. Porter went on to tell Stolen Horse International that there were tracks on the side of the road where the truck/trailer was parked and spun away from the scene. A neighbor saw a woman, man and two children in a red truck with a shiny silver trailer at the pasture. Mr. Porter is very worried about his horses.

On February 9, 2018, Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the first online report on its web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Porter and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse Alert (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups and private email contacts in an effort to rally the public to help the family.

You will find all the information on the horses on their webpage with information and a printable flyer in her NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. Anyone interested in helping can search for report number NR005414 or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=5414

“Circulating the flyer on the horses as well as the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as they could be anywhere by now. These flyers are one tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible,” says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International. “And remember, not everyone has internet access. Please post their flyer in public places as well.”

Pictures, flyer, contact information, updates and other information are on the NetPosse webpage to identify this case quickly when calling in a tip. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Olin Porter or Stolen Horse International with any information.
