VONORE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Susie, a 5-year-old chestnut Tennessee Walker mare, was last seen in the Citico area of Cherokee National Forest on June 3, according to those who last saw her.
Katie Webb and Jonathan Guenther had been out trail riding when Susie was spooked and threw Katie off of her. Susie was last seen in the Mount Pleasant area corner of Cooper Road with all of her tack still on.
Webb told Stolen Horse International that she was injured when she was thrown from the horse, but not badly.
"I looked all day yesterday along with the whole community on horses, 4-wheelers, ATVS and on foot," Webb told Stolen Horse International. "Susie means a lot to me. My other horse is extremely depressed and won't eat since Susie has been missing."
Susie was described as 15 hands, with a blaze face marking, a sock marking on her left front leg, and a coronet band marking on her right rear leg. A reward was posted for the safe return of the horse to the owner.
