STOLEN EQUINE – Arabella - Texas

CYPRESS (HARRIS COUNTY), TX Wednesday, January 20, 2016—Wednesday, January 6, 2016, Devin Moss’ beloved horse was reported missing and presumed stolen from her stall. She was last seen January 5, 2016 at 9:00pm in her stall.

Devin Moss asked Stolen Horse International for assistance in locating her horse Arabella, a 14-years-old Flea Bitten Grey Quarter Horse Mare, who is believed to have been stolen. Ms. Moss advised that they did have some surveillance video showing a truck and trailer leaving the area about 40 minutes after they left the barn. Ms. Moss has filed a stolen horse report with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.

Stolen Horse International, a nonprofit organization also known as NetPosse.com, is well known as the “lost and found’ place for horses on the internet for the equine industry. NetPosse.com offers horse theft and equine ID education and assist in search and recovery of stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment.

“The children at the barn ask about Arabella every day and want to know if she has been found yet. She was used as a lesson horse and the children became very attached to her and are very upset about her being gone.”, says Devin Moss. “Arabella is possibly in foal. She was bred in early October and we have not confirmed it yetShe is possibly in foal, she was bred early October and we have not confirmed itArabellAlso missing is a 15" trophy roping saddle that reads "Gold Card 2007" "Incentive Champion Header"..” Moss further explained that Arabella was taken from her stall along with a halter, saddle pad, saddle and bridle in the Cypress, Texas area. Also missing is a 15” trophy roping saddle that reads “Gold Card 2007” “Incentive Champion Header”. She explained that they have searched daily for her and have found no signs.

On January 18, 2016, Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the first online report on its web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Moss and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse Alert (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups and private email contacts in an effort to rally the public to help the family.

You will find Arabella’s webpage with information and a printable flyer in his NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. People interested in helping can search for report number NR003765 or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=3765

“Circulating Arabella’s flyer and the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as the horse could be anywhere by now. These flyers are one tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible,” says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International. “And remember, not everyone has internet access. Please post Arabella’s flyer in public places as well.”

Pictures, flyer, contact information, updates and other information are on the NetPosse webpage to identify this case quickly when calling in a tip. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, the owner or Stolen Horse International with information.
