Deaf Quarter Horse Stolen from SC Farm

SPARTANBURG, SC Thursday, May 28, 2015—Friday, May 22, 2015  the Hull family’s miracle horse was standing in their yard when the sun went down. Saturday morning there was no trace of the horse. She’d vanished into thin air.

Barry and Beth Hull asked Stolen Horse International for assistance in locating their horse Kitty, a 23 year old brown (bay) Quarter Horse mare, who is believed to be lost when they first discovered her missing. Now they are not so sure and have filed a stolen horse report with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. There is a $500 reward offered for her return.

Stolen Horse International, a nonprofit organization also know as NetPosse.com, is well known in the equine community for horse theft education and assistance in recovering stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment.

This one is special to us because Kitty has been deaf most of her life. She was born on the Hull farm and never left,” says Debi Metcalfe, founder of the nonprofit organization.

On May 27, 2015, Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the first online report on its Web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Beth Hull and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse Alert (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups and private email contacts in an effort to rally the public to help the family.

There are many unanswered questions that pop into mind but the most important one is, where is Kitty? We hope you will help the Hull family answer that question.

You will find Kitty's webpage with information and a printable flyer in her NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. People interested in helping can search for report number NR002522 or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: http://netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=2522.   A touching video made by the owners and Stolen Horse International can be viewed in the Updates and Related Info sectio of the page

“Circulating Kitty’s flyer and the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as the horses could be anywhere by now. These flyers are one tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible,” say the organizations founder Debi Metcalfe. “And remember, not everyone has internet access. Please post Kitty’s flyer in public places as well.”

The sheriff department’s case number and other information are on the NetPosse flyer and webpage to identify this case quickly when calling in a tip. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department, (864)809-6864, the owner or Stolen Horse International with information.
