BLAZE IS HOME along with a new friend! Recovered 2-17-15

Blaze disappeared in January 2010 while he was on a free lease to a lady in Brevard County, Florida. After moving him without Lauren's permission, the woman allegedly abandoned him, neglected and skinny. Later, Blaze was sold by that family, not knowing that he legally belonged to Lauren. After five long years and many sleepless nights, Lauren finally was able to recover her beloved horse once she received a mysterious Instagram message. But the recovery wasn't cheap, and Blaze wasn't alone ...

From Lauren:
Blaze was found Feb 16 2015 in Osteen Florida. The night before I received a instagram request to be followed by a girl. Once I accepted it she commented on one of blazes photos. " this is was stolen right? "I know exactly where he is. Please get back with me asap"

I messaged her back. She said she sent pictures to blazes fb page. I quickly signed on. The moment I saw the photo I started crying and saying " IT'S HIM!" Corey had to call the girl for me. I was not able to speak. After Corey talked to the girl I got on the phone. She told me blaze was ok and still with joker. Told me to come in the morning. My mom and I ( Debbie Brannigan ) drove to sunshine ranch as soon as we could.

Jessica met us at the gate. She had blaze tied up and waiting. As soon as we saw him tears began to fall! After 5 long years I finally was hugging my pony! The man who had him made us pay 3k to get him back. He also fired the girl for contacting me. She was fired for doing the right thing!

My mom and I had to go to amscot to get a Money order because the man didn't want a check. While we went to get the money order we stopped and got new halters. not only did I get blaze one but his best bud joker got one. Yes I got his buddy to. I couldn't leave him behind.

After we got back to the ranch the man was not there so we had to wait. We went to put on the halters and get them ready to leave. We had a deputy there with us. Of course the man wanted to start crap with my mother and I. Thankfully the officer was there. I would of went off the deep end. We paid him. he gave us the faked coggins and bill of sale that he had with Marty. Blaze wasn't even on the bill of sale. Nor did the so called coggins match up with the date on the bill of sale. I walked both blaze and joker off the property and loaded them up to go. As soon as they were loaded up I started crying and hugging my mom. I really never thought I would ever see my pony again and thanks to Jessica we are together again. And joker has a forever home and family!

Blaze and his friend Joker with new halters await their ride home!
Note from NetPosse:
Please be aware that a victim should never have to pay to recover stolen property, but this is where law enforcement is not educated properly in the world of stolen horses. Had Lauren had a chance to contact NetPosse, we most likely could have assisted in navigating the recovery process so that the victim did not have to buy her own horse back. Regardless, we are thrilled that not only is Blaze home, but Joker has a new, loving family. Few victims fight this hard or pay this much to recover a horse. Lauren's love for Blaze truly knows no bounds! ~ Angela 2/19/15
