NY Horse Owner Wants Justice by Joseph Hill

NY Horse Owner Wants Justice by Joseph Hill

13 September 2014

stormy72.jpgThe worst possible scenario became a reality for a West Henrietta woman whose horse was stolen last January. It's been a painful year for Kathy Kennedy. Someone stole her beloved 10 year-old horse Stormy, from her barn.

On Dec. 4, a hunter in Livingston County found Stormy dead, near Hemlock Lake. Police believe someone tied the horse to a tree and shot him.

" I want justice. There are people that know who was responsible and I want to know who because the way that it ended up is so unrealistic and just so cruel," said Kennedy.

Kathy and her family hope anyone with information will call either the Monroe or Livingston County Sheriff's departments. The New York Horse Council has also developed a reward fund to help capture Stormy’s killer.
