ur
Spare Change can Help SHI!
I have a special request
for all NetPosse members. As most of you know, SHI/NetPosse is
funded solely on donations, therefore, we must monitor these
funds carefully when deciding how they should be spent.
I also understand that
many of you are unable to donate as much as you might like,
especially with gasoline prices what they are. Thus, I am making
a request that may help SHI, while giving those that would like
a new way to help SHI without putting too large a dent in the
checkbook – hopefully, it will cost less than the change in your
pocket.
From time to time, other
organizations request information on SHI that they can handout
at their events such as trail rides. Unfortunately, these
pre-printed handouts are one of those things that SHI simply
cannot afford. At the same, this is a wonderful opportunity to
spread the word about SHI and its mission. With your help, this
won’t be a missed opportunity!
I am asking that everyone
who is able to do the following – once a month (or as often as
you would like), print out the TWO-sided brochure at the link
below per the instructions:
1)
they MUST be double-sided
2)
please print in color, but black & white
is certainly acceptable
3)
enclose 8 folded pages in a regular (size
10) envelope for the cost of one stamp
4)
or send 10 or more printouts UNfolded
in a manila envelope with (PREFERRED)
5)
mail to: SHI brochures, P.O. Box 1341,
Shelby, NC 28151
With your continued help,
thousands more can learn about this organization. Members of the
NetPosse Yahoo! groups will receive periodic reminders about
this chance to help SHI, and I will send reminders with the
newsletters and at other times.
Once we receive enough of
these printed brochures, I’ll begin distributing them to as many
organizations/events as possible. Remember, I need as many
people’s help as possible as we’ll need to send 100-500 to each
event!
The first one is
approaching quickly – the Ride-a-Thon for Sampson in Strawberry
Plains, Tenn. I am unable to attend at this point because of two
prior commitments, but JJ’s mom has offered to handout
information on SHI. This event is only a couple of weeks away so
please help SHI by sending in some of these brochures!
Remember, I “Never
Underestimate the Power of One”, and I’m asking that you are the
one to make the difference today!
Sincerely,
Debi Metcalfe
