This is an easy way to get all of your animals seen by a vet at the same time, and not have to pay for an office visit or a herd health barn call. Come on up to Steve’s barn in the Draco community. It usually starts around 8 or 9am and lasts depending on the numbers of animals there to treat, usually until about 11:30-12:00. Call the barn for more info or directions if you don’t have them already. 828-757-3635.

If he is available, a gentleman from Spartanburg may be doing freeze branding. Call Rascal Annas at 828-396-4023 if you are interested in getting your horses, mules, cows, dogs, (husbands, wives – ha ha!) whatever, freeze branded. I haven’t heard as of yet if he is available.

Not only horses and mules, but also dogs, cats, cows, goats, pigs, chickens, bunny rabbits, and even hamsters and rats are welcome.

Directions: From I-40 take the 64-90 exit in Statesville. Follow 64-90 thru Taylorsville towards Lenoir. At the Oak Hill School Rd / Station Rd intersection (at the old Grinders Switch which is now called the Underground Café) turn Right on Station Rd. Take it to the end and turn Right. Go just a little way past the church and turn Left onto Draco Rd. Follow Draco Rd for a few miles to White Springs Lane which is on the Left. (This is just past another church and the road for Camp Ginger Cascades.) Once you turn onto White Springs Lane, go to 2060 Steve White’s Mailbox, turn Right and go to the barn on top of the hill. You will see his barn before you ever see his driveway. There should be signs up too.

If you are coming up Hwy 321N, go to Lenoir Crossings intersection and turn Right onto Hwy18. Follow Hwy18 to just past Food Lion and turn Right on Hwy90. Follow Hwy90 to Grinders Switch and turn Left on Station Rd. Follow same directions from there as above.
